Why Repeating The Same Message Over and Over Again isn't Lazy it's Strategic

You don't need 50 different messages. You need the same message fifty times.

I work with a lot of companies that think they need a new idea every week. New campaign. New angle. New catchy AI-driven headline. They exhaust themselves chasing novelty while their audience barely registers what they said the first time.

The companies that are actually making an impact found one message that works and they say it everywhere, all the time, without apology.

Jimmy Buffett built a $900 million empire from one song. He did not need a new hit every year. He needed Margaritaville and a thousand ways to say it. Your business is the same. The people who need to hear your message have not heard it yet. And the ones who have heard it need to hear it again before they act on it.

Here's how to find your one sentence:

Start by answering three questions:

1. Who do you help?

2. What problem do you solve for them? (Not what you do. What pain goes away when they work with you?)

3. What does life look like after they work with you?

Now combine them into a single sentence using this formula: We help [who] [solve what problem] so they can [achieve what result].

It will feel too simple. That's the point. Many of you are engineers or operators, and you'll want to add a bunch of words and explanations, but the truth is, all the extra info just means more calories that readers have to burn to understand what you do.

Here are a few examples from The Space Marketers' work of one-liners that accomplish the above:

Necara Solutions

Necara Solutions helps engineering teams move forward by aligning software strategy and requirements from day one, so that they can launch hardware faster and with confidence.

Sagittarius Logistics

Sagittarius Logistics is building rockets and the logistics infrastructure to fly daily, so that companies can access space without anxiety.

Innovar Group

Innovar Group helps mission-critical industries hire at the pace of their business, with the precision to get the right people at the right time, so they don’t fall behind.

After you get your one-liner, do this for 90 days.

  • Open every sales conversation with it

  • Put it in the first paragraph of every email

  • Make it the headline on your website

  • Use it verbatim in every piece of content you create

You will get bored of it long before your audience does. That is normal.

Keep saying it anyway. Repetition is not lazy. It is a strategy.

Repetition also applies to products and services. We helped Necara create their go-to-market one-liner and messaging for Osteo, establishing a consistent message and experience at every touch point. Follow Necara Solutions on LinkedIn to see more.
